Messages from Friends...

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Aunt Dottie a very happy 75th birthday and many more, as she and Uncle Norman were such a big part of my life. The laughs that we had, and the tears that were shed, will always be remembered.

Dear Dottie,

Our lives are really entwined -- from the day we met at the Branch, with you sitting behind me (because you were taller) and Donnie Cohen sittin in front (he was really short). We were the "Cohen terrors." You were much braver (I was sort of a wimp when it came to being a troublemaker) but, oh, did we have fun!

The fun has lasted 61 years. I have some special fond memories to talk about, but one that stands out as a favorite is "THE BOOK" that my dad had hidden because his pure family never used the "F" word. No, not the "F" word we use so casually today (we didn't even know that one until we were grown up) -- but, oh my, just to say "fart" brought us into hysterics. Boy, we were babies.

Of course, you can't forget that I introduced you to Eddie (Beth and Kenny, you can thank me for that). You and I we were giggling our way through life regardless of all our ups and downs. (My mom loved to hear the two of us laughing together and always commented about how wonderful our friendship must me.) I still laugh when I think of that Vegas New Years trip when you, Norm, Ralph and I stayed at the Tropicana and were given those crystal flowewr vases as our New Years gifts. Wow, it only cost us hundreds at the table for those. But we did have fun -- and that is what it is all about.

We have had our share of tears along with the laughter, dear friend, but when we put them all together, the laughter is what always stands out. My fondest birthday wish for you is that we just continue to hold on to those treasured memories while we build more new and good ones that I can write down and share with you on your 100th.

With all my love, always,
Jean

Dear Dottie, Happy birthday and many more. It is beginning to get alittle difficult to -remember all our good times. Starting with birthday parties in first grade. the Serv-e and Help club Senior Varieties dance group, then a lull when you lived north and I lived South. After that our trip to Prague and the Canadian Rockies and we became celebrities of the group after I took my fall. Hope we have many more good times together

Love, Diane

Happy Birthday to our OLDEST friend. May we keep growing old together. We will raise our glasses and toast you. Enjoy the Naches of being surrounded by your family on this wonderful day.

Love, Ellen and Steve

Dear Dottie,

We just want to wish you a very happy 75th birthday. Hope you have a super time with the whole family.

Beh and Barb wanted me to write something funny and an old story.

The funny thing is that YOU are older than me!

The stories could go on forever.

Remember taking the IC with Jack Gordon

Remember that you really liked Burt Rogoff.

Remember when you boasted me up to the top bunk

Remember when you dropped the phone and ran down the street telling everyone I had twins

Remeber when we played Kaloukie and I won

Remember your Mother said, "Listen to Muriel, she is always (I don't think so) right

Remember when I made you go to CTC to start you on your way to teaching and the woman told you that your daughter (me) could sit on the bench.

Remember all the good times and sad times.

We have been through a lot, but we are still great friends.

Thanks for being my friend.

Love,

Muriel

Happy 75th and welcome to the OFS. The entire Kabaker clan wishes you a great time in Puerto Rico and wonderful memories.

Dottie,

You finally caught up to me. After 70 years we are still walking together. Let's hope we will continue walking for many more years. Oh yes, please remember where you put your keys. Have a Happy and Healthy 75th.

Fondly,

Cymia
